Belle Epoque 2015 Champagne, Perriet Jouet

CHF 170.00

Belle Epoque 2015 Champagne, Perriet Jouet – Instantly recognizable by the Japanese anemones painted on the bottle—a design created by Art Nouveau master Emile Gallé in 1902—the Belle Epoque is Perrier-Jouët’s prestige cuvée. The 2015 vintage was marked by a warm and sunny summer, yet cellar master Séverine Frerson managed to capture an astonishing level of freshness. It is a Champagne that embodies the house’s signature style: floral, intricate, and supremely elegant.

What’s it Like?

It is a masterclass in delicacy. It pours a luminous pale gold. The nose is a fragrant spring garden, dominated by white flowers like linden and hawthorn, before giving way to white peach, crisp pear, and a hint of grapefruit. On the palate, the high percentage of Grand Cru Chardonnay (50%) provides a silken, graceful texture, while the Pinot Noir brings a subtle, structured backbone. It finishes with a precise, chalky minerality and a touch of toasted almond.

Perfect For

A highly romantic celebration or a sophisticated toast. It is exquisite on its own but shines when paired with delicate seafood, such as a scallop carpaccio with citrus, sole meunière, or a light white peach dessert.

The Critics Agree…

Critics admire the 2015 for its ability to balance the warmth of the vintage with the house’s classic finesse. James Suckling praised its “creamy texture” and “luminous acidity,” while others note its “crystalline purity” and “charming floral aromatics.”
