Rotem & Mounir Saouma – Châteauneuf-du-Pape Omnia 2017

CHF 110.00

Rotem & Mounir Saouma – Châteauneuf-du-Pape Omnia 2017 – The Saoumas’ prestige cuvée — from one of the Rhône Valley’s most powerful and distinctive vintages.

What is it? The Omnia cuvée is the flagship wine of Rotem & Mounir Saouma — a selection from the oldest parcels, the most concentrated grapes, the deepest terroirs. The name “Omnia” — Latin for “all” — expresses the ambition to produce the domaine’s finest wine without compromise. Production volumes are tiny; every bottle is a collector’s item.

Where from? Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhône Valley, France. Selection from the domaine’s oldest parcels, soils of clay, sand and galets roulés, historically prized for their heat-retaining properties.

Grapes? Grenache dominant (>90%), small proportions of Mourvèdre. Biodynamic farming, all hand-worked. Whole-cluster or partial vinification. Aged in old barriques and foudres for 18–24 months.

Tastes like? Black cherry, mulberry, rosemary, lavender, fresh herbs, garrigue, black pepper, leather notes, spicy depth. On the palate: concentrated, powerful yet elegant, with silky tannins and exceptional length.

Score? Wine Advocate: 97/100 · Vinous (Galloni): 96/100 · James Suckling: 97/100
