A day on Lake Zurich rarely starts with a detour to the wine shop. That is exactly the gap Zürichsee Wine Delivery fills: we deliver champagne, rosé, white and red wine perfectly chilled to every harbour between Zurich Bürkliplatz and Rapperswil — ready to cast off, with no cases to carry, no cool box in the boot, and no lukewarm bottle after the first hour on the water.

The service is run by Le Roux Vins GmbH, a Zurich wine merchant focused on great wines, champagne and rarities. The same selection we carry in our online shop comes down to the lake — from an easy-going Burgundy for the afternoon to a double magnum that turns an occasion into an event.

How harbour delivery works

The process is deliberately short. Choose your harbour on Lake Zurich, build your order, pick a date and time window, and pay online — securely through Zahls with TWINT, credit card, PostFinance or Apple Pay. We confirm by WhatsApp within the hour and meet you at the jetty at the agreed time.

Orders are taken at least 24 hours in advance. We use that time to bring the wines to serving temperature — which is the real difference between a delivery and a rushed purchase on the way to the boat. Delivery is a flat CHF 30 per order, regardless of how many bottles you order, with a CHF 60 minimum on wine. Something came up last minute? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually find a way.

Our delivery harbours on Lake Zurich

We cover both shores along the full length of the lake. On the western shore: Zurich Wollishofen, Thalwil, Horgen, Au and Wädenswil, Richterswil, Wollerau and Freienbach/Hurden. On the eastern shore: Zurich Tiefenbrunnen, Küsnacht, Erlenbach, Herrliberg, Meilen, Uetikon am See, Männedorf, Stäfa and Hombrechtikon. Plus Zurich Bürkliplatz in the middle of the city and Rapperswil-Jona at the upper end of the lake.

Your mooring isn’t on the list? Not a problem — if there’s a jetty, we’ll come. Just enter the harbour under “other harbour” in the order form.

Champagne, rosé and white wine chosen for the water

The selection is built around what actually works on a boat: freshness, precision, something worth sharing. In champagne we carry R de Ruinart, Ruinart Rosé and Blanc de Blancs, Bollinger La Grande Année 2015 and Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2015 — plus an excellent grower sparkling wine from Arndt Köbelin as the uncomplicated option.

For rosé, it is hard to look past Domaine OTT Bandol, also available as a double magnum for larger groups. The white wines run from Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc through Loire Chenin Blanc to magnums of Vie di Romans and Pouilly-Fumé from de Ladoucette — magnums age more slowly and stay cold longer in the bucket, which counts for more on a boat than it sounds.

If you prefer red wine: Brunello di Montalcino from Baricci, Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Beaucastel in two vintages, Tignanello, Galatrona in magnum and Aalto PS in double magnum. Alongside these: Tequila Clase Azul Reposado, bags of large ice cubes (2.5 kg) and cooler bags for two bottles.

When people book us

The classic case is a spontaneous Sunday afternoon for four. Just as often, though, it’s birthdays on board, company outings, stag and hen parties, boat christenings and sunset apéros — occasions where nobody wants to haul crates down a pontoon. For larger groups we recommend magnums and double magnums: fewer bottles on board, more wine in the glass, and hard to beat on the table.

Season, waiting time and cancellation

Zürichsee Wine Delivery operates from May to the end of September. Outside those months we don’t deliver to the water, but the Le Roux Vins online shop ships across Switzerland year-round.

We wait a maximum of 15 minutes at the agreed harbour. If you can’t make it back in time, we’ll arrange a new slot for an additional CHF 20. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before delivery.
